The big difference between Trump and Elon Musk is that Trump is a protectionist, while Musk is a globalist. The question is which direction will ultimately prevail.
The biggest economic support that brought Trump to power in the US is undoubtedly the globalists in the form of the tech companies, such as Facebook, Amazon, Google, Apple, Netflix and more. All of these companies have their fundamental existence in the global market. With the attitude that Trump has now taken, it will hit the global companies hard economically. At the same time, it shows that Europe, among others, has been a bit asleep at the wheel when it comes to building a real alternative to the American tech companies’ dominance and influence on digital development.
I hope the globalists win, while I am considering replacing my Google browser with the Norwegian Vivaldi Browser.
